Odisha Electricity Regulator Approves 25 kW Biomass-Based Gasifier Power Plant to Feed in to Low Transmission Grid at the Village Level
Idam Infra finally succeeds in getting approval for project specific 25 kW biomass gasifier Tariff petition and Tripartite Agreement. The agreement approved by Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) through Tripartite Agreement will enable sale of surplus power between Grid Corporation of Odisha Limited (GRIDCO) – Southern Electricity Supply Company of Odisha Limited (SOUTHCO) – Maa Dharini Mahila Maha Sangh (MDMMS).
The agreement envisages that MDMMS, a woman driven local self-help group (SHG) will run biomass gasifier plant for captive purpose and sell surplus power to GRIDCO for providing electricity to selected villages during morning and evening hours; using SOUTHCO’s distribution networks by connecting it to LT side (220V) of local distribution transformers.
