National Level Workshop

Idam has been supporting Government of Odisha (GoO) in the development of renewable energy for the state under World Bank funding. Since 2014, World Bank has been providing technical assistance to Government of Odisha (GoO) to support implementation of the Odisha State Climate Change Action. GoO adopted the Renewable Energy Policy on 25 November 2016. The Policy will be in force till March 2022 or till a new policy is announced. This policy seeks to achieve the Renewable Purchase Obligation targets and fulfil the objectives of the State Action Plan for Climate Change.

As a part of dissemination of the policy, a workshop will be held in Bhubaneshwar on 06 and 07 April 2017, wherein Balawant Joshi will be a speaker.

Also, a national level workshop will be organised by Idam under the aegis of GoO and World Bank on 10 April 2017, at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, with subsequent consultation meetings held in Mumbai and Delhi.
