Inauguration and Launch of Indian Renewable Energy Federation (IREF)

Indian Renewable Energy Federation (IREF) was inaugurated by Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Honourable Minister of New and Renewable Energy on 28 January 2014 in New Delhi. IREF is a multi-stakeholder, technology-neutral body that would aid in establishing a suitable policy, regulatory and business framework for accelerating the development of sustainable energy in India.

IREF would act as the nodal, advocacy platform, and cater to the promotion of grid, off-grid, and standalone renewable energy applications and systems, as well as promote energy efficiency and energy conservation in the country. Funded by Shakti Foundation, IREF is promoted by V.Subramanian- Former Secretary MNRE, Srinivas Krishnaswamy-CEO, Vasudha Foundation, G.M.Pillai- Founder Director General WISE, Balawant Joshi-Managing Director, Idam Infra.
