Wind Vision for India: 200 GW by 2032
On the occasion of Global Wind Day celebrations, wind capacity of 200 GW by 2032 was adopted. In the Fifth Wind Discussion Forum, which was held on 15 June 2016, Ms. Varsha Joshi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy unveiled “Wind Vision 2032”. The event was attended by several experts, policy makers, private and public sector entities in renewable energy sector in India.
“Wind Vision 2032” prepared by Idam Infrastructure Advisory, under the aegis of Wind Discussion Forum, aims to assist Government of India finalize a policy framework for the accelerated deployment of wind energy in the country. It covers the sector evolution, current landscape, critical issues that need attention, and proposes roadmap to reach 200 GW of wind capacity by 2032.
